Originally devised in 2020, I worked alongside Sarah West Valstar and Lauren Kinnersley to develop a door step puppetry show aimed at 2 to 5 year olds. We worked with City Arts and Small Steps Big Changes to develop the show. We developed the show to help families support with the transition period as the first lock down eased, within the show the main character Bear used techniques to help the deal with strong emotions.
Since then the show has been redeveloped by Ayup Puppet Company and has toured at Nottingham puppetry festival, Shambala Festival and Skipton international puppetry symposium.
I lead the Design and construction of the project and now perform with along side the Ayup puppet team.
The show was originally developed to be performed on peoples door steps. since then it has toured in Libraries, as a streeet performance and as an inside theatre spaces.
